A rich principal makes a miserable decision

How the Watchtower Society Professionally Places Its Own Interests Above Jesus

A reflection of a single Watchtower article from the point of view of someone not manipulated by the Watchtower Society. (The area highlighted in grey is the original quotation from the Watchtower of October 1, 2007, pages 3 – 7).

The rich young leader was conscientious, law-abiding and religious. He fell to his knees before Jesus and asked him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus answered that he must keep the commandments of God. But his counterpart wanted to know more. So Jesus explained: "You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself."

Up to this point the Watchtower actually lets Jesus have his say. But already after this short episode the "governing body" has to mix in its special mustard:

These were the basic commandments from the law Moses had received.

With this interjection the Watchtower Society hammers down its own iron principle that the Mosaic law should be kept as before the appearance of Jesus. She is concerned with human control, as all carnal religious authorities wish. Although Jesus has told us that he has fulfilled the law and that our part is only to be in faith with him in order to attain eternal life, the Watchtower Society insists that every believer will be judged by whether he has kept the law of Moses.

But the message of Jesus is this: Since men cannot keep the law, he fulfills it for us and saves those who enter into faith with Jesus. This message of Jesus, which is the core of every Christian faith, tries to make the Watchtower Society forget by hollowing the brains of Jehovah's Witnesses with the constant drop of infiltration.

The man replied: "I have held all this; what am I missing?" (Matthew 19:16-20). Jesus "felt love for him" and said: "One thing is missing from you: Go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have a treasure in heaven, and come, follow me" (Mark 10:17-21). Then the young ruler suddenly faced a difficult decision. Which way did he take? Could he easily separate himself from his wealth and go with Jesus, or did he cling to his possessions? Did he seek treasures on earth or in heaven? The decision was certainly not easy for him. A good relationship with God was important to him, for after all he kept the law and inquired what else he could do to please God. How did he finally decide? He "went away grieved, for he had many possessions" (Mark 10:22).

This paragraph is an example of how the Watchtower Society is ironing out biblical core truths so broadly that the reader inevitably has to become bored. Thus the Watchtower Society achieves an unconscious reaction of the Jehovah's Witnesses, which after years of membership in this carnal society is very strongly interspersed with the following feeling: Everything the Bible reports is correct, but boring. Everything the Watchtower reports is a touch less boring, so it must be even more right than what the Bible says.

The young leader made a mistake with that. If he had become a faithful follower of Jesus, he would have got exactly what he was looking for: eternal life. We do not know what happened to the young man. But we do know that Jerusalem and much of Judea were destroyed by the Romans about 40 years later. Many Jews lost not only their wealth, but also their lives.

This is where the next manipulation of the Watchtower takes place. The term "faithful follower of Jesus" is supposed to suggest to people that one has to follow Jesus out of constant effort. Thus the guiding body twists the truth. For according to the Bible it is Jesus' power that begins and completes discipleship, and not the power of Jesus' discipleship. So that no flesh may boast before God. – The second part of the above paragraph says: Choose calculating! Don't worry so much about what Jesus says, just take the right side! What a tragedy this religious "food" represents can hardly be described. And yet Jehovah's Witnesses seriously believe they have someone in the Governing Body to provide them with the right food at the right time. The opposite is the case. The Watchtower Society Executive Body trivializes, twists, manipulates and numbs through zero and half-truths.

Unlike the young ruler, the apostle Peter and other disciples did a happy thing by giving up everything and following Jesus.

Oh, they just got lucky! Did they come across a vein of gold by chance or did they just happen to use the right magic? Here, too, it is recognizable how the Watchtower Society adds another hairline crack to the Bible, to the foundation of faith. The thought that the thing with Jesus was probably more a coincidence than anything else is interspersed with a tiny bit and as soft as butter. Such side tricks of the Watchtower Society are read with pleasure by the willing Jehovah's Witnesses. This makes thinking easier. Admittedly, one must give up much of one's own thinking (namely the critical thinking) in order to endure it in the long run. But what do you want to do?

They couldn't have made a better choice! Jesus promised them that they would receive far more than they had left behind. Apart from that, eternal life awaited them. They had chosen something they would never regret (Matthew 19:27-29).

Finally, finally, finally, a simple round truth comes out of the pen of the Watchtower scribes! He who relies on Jesus has made the best decision in his life. Jesus is the way to the Father. But anyone who now assumes that the leading body would now deal more closely with this truth is greatly mistaken! Rather, the Watchtower Society, following what has already been quoted before the reader, spreads out the great game of questions: What can we learn from it for life? It does not even ask like the rich young man, but projects everything directly onto life on earth. The guiding body does not want to know that the followers of Jesus already solve all problems, that through them salvation already takes place. For then it would be deregistered. Then it would no longer have a fool that it could fully waffle.

Everyone is confronted with decisions – big and small. Jesus had a lot to say on this subject. The question arises whether one also accepts his advice. Whoever does it will find it very rewarding. So let us look at how we can follow Jesus and what we can learn from his statements.

I see. Jesus had a lot to say. After all, the Governing Body leaves a good hair on Jesus here. It's just the archangel thing, but why shouldn't we say "all sorts of things"? Do you feel how snobbishly the Watchtower Society treats Jesus?

Decisions that make you happy "I wish I had done it differently!" You have to admit that many a time. Of course, one would prefer to always decide in such a way that one has nothing to regret afterwards. Especially when it comes to the way of life. But what has to be considered, so that one lies right?

And as soon as the leading body has shown that Jesus also has something to say, it comes back with its everyday gibberish! This method of keeping Jehovah's Witnesses stupid is part of the above-mentioned tactic of spreading boredom when it comes to Jesus. Out of this boredom she then starts her attack and lists her personal view of things, although every normal reader now expects to read something that Jesus would have a lot to say. But nothing there! Jesus doesn't get a word at first. That would also be much too easy! Because the Watchtower Society has its own concept, which passes by the gift of grace.

First of all, you need reliable guidelines. Do they exist? Many would deny that. As a survey in the USA showed, 75 percent of college graduates believe there is no such thing as right and wrong. The notions of good and evil would be based on "individual concepts of value and cultural conditions". Is the notion that moral concepts are purely a matter of opinion or should follow the general trend reasonable? Hardly. If everyone had the freedom to do what they wanted, chaos would break out. Who wants to live in an area where there is neither law, justice nor police? On top of that, one's own views are not necessarily a reliable guide. Sometimes you make a decision in the firm conviction that you are doing the right thing, but then you find that you were on the wrong track.

Now the Watchtower Society has completely distorted the view of Jesus. That it does not bring statistical figures about the discarded sandwiches of American schoolchildren is everything. Now it places a few more boring commonplace truths and can lead to the basic Watchtower thesis that only the Governing Body can make the right decisions. With this approach she has made the child molester paradise within her own ranks possible for all to see, but what the hell! The main thing is that Jesus is gone and the Watchtower Society is there. And already it waves again, the Watchtower Society. It beckons with its knowledge of the Bible. But the leading body does not want to hear that this Watchtower Bible knowledge is a purely human understanding of the Bible.

The entire history of mankind confirms the biblical statement: "It does not stand with the man who walks to even judge his step" (Jeremiah 10:23). But what can one be guided by when decisions on important questions of life are to be made? The aforementioned young leader was well advised to turn to Jesus. As you can see, Jesus referred to God's law when he answered the man's question. In doing so, he recognized that Jehovah God possesses the highest degree of knowledge and wisdom and knows exactly what is best for his creatures. Therefore Jesus also said, "What I teach is not mine, but belongs to the One who sent me" (John 7:16). God's Word is a reliable guide to good decisions. To follow the principles of God's Word actually makes you happy. Here are some examples of biblical rules of life.

How subtly the Watchtower Society has redirected from Jesus to the Law! After Jesus and the rich youth had long since ticked off the question of the law and had long since penetrated to the effect that the following of Jesus is decisive, the governing body of the Watchtower Society stubbornly insists on the observance of the law. Now it has opened its doors to fill people far below the level of discipleship with knowledge of the law and Bible twists. Here the point is reached where the good witness has nothing to do with Jesus any more and inwardly follows the law breeding place and the Bible twisting institute Watchtower for a long time. This is the end of the preparation phase. Here the Jehovah's Witness is already freed from the question of following Jesus, so that he can no longer ask himself: Why am I not a witness of Jesus?

The Golden Rule In his famous Sermon on the Mount ...

Wow, Jesus is famous. He made a famous speech. This incidental mention that the Sermon on the Mount is famous makes Jesus a kind of mean. There was someone else who had a lot to say. Oh yes, Jesus. Well, at least he preached a famous Sermon on the Mount. Wow! – Thus the Watchtower Society joins the religious communities that don't really think much of Jesus. As a kind of guru, the guiding body lets him pass through. Even some of these archangels are allowed to have him in their eyes. But never God. That goes too far. That doesn't fit the Jews, the Muslims and the Governing Body!

The Golden Rule In his famous Sermon on the Mount Jesus mentioned a basic rule which is a decision-making aid in human coexistence. It reads: "Therefore whatever you want people to do to you, you too shall do to them" (Matthew 7:12). This principle of behavior is often referred to as the Golden Rule. There is, however, another variant of it: "Do not do to anyone what you do not want done to you." The difference between the Golden Rule and its negative form can be illustrated in Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan: A Jew was attacked and left half-dead by the wayside. A priest and a Levite saw him, but passed by carelessly. Since they did not make the man's need even greater, one could say that they adhered to the negative variant of the Golden Rule. The Samaritan, who also passed by there, was quite different. He took care of the man's wounds and brought him to a hostel. He treated him as he would have liked to be treated. The Samaritan kept to the Golden Rule and did the only right thing (Luke 10:30-37).

Wonderful! A right word at the right time. And this from the pen of the Governing Body of the Watchtower Society. But the anointed of this organization, the high-class super-believers promoted to something special, immediately return this truth to the self-interested ends of the Watchtower Society:

There are many ways to successfully implement this rule of conduct. If you get new neighbours, it would be a nice gesture to get to know them and offer your help if they don't find their way, have questions or need something. Taking the initiative and signalling neighbourly interest promotes a pleasant climate. It is also a satisfying feeling to have done something that pleases God. Certainly not a mistake!

Peace, joy, pancakes. The nice gesture of the Jehovah's Witnesses, presented here by the Governing Body as something as glorious as the Golden Rule, has only one purpose: Hey, we are so sweet and kind and we are Jehovah's Witnesses. We would like to study the Bible with you the Wachttrum way! But that these pseudo-Christians would never have been recognizable as possible Christians if they had not chummed up remains hidden. The truth, however, is that Jehovah's Witnesses are not only not Christians, but also embody the exact opposite with their Law. They are mercilessly legal and carnally minded and are only nice to have done something "that pleases God! Certainly not a mistake!" But that they are only good human facades grafted from the outside, everyone who has to do with them recognizes. They wear fine suits and keep their distance in all questions of life. Only when they can strike with watchtower knowledge do they become trustful. But this is only an illusion, because if someone contradicts them, he will be beaten to death with kindness.

Maybe there are families among the neighbors who have small children. If these families are persuaded to join, the child molesters protected by the Governing Body will find a new field of activity.

Decisions made out of love for others In addition to the Golden Rule, Jesus also gave other decision-making aids. When asked what was the most important commandment in the Law of Moses, he said, "You shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like him, is this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments (Matthew 22:36-40). On the eve of his death Jesus gave his disciples "a new commandment" to love one another (John 13:34). What was new about it? After all, he had already explained that charity is one of the two commandments on which the whole law depends. In the law of Moses, the Israelites were called: "Thou shalt love thy fellow man as thyself" (Exodus 3:19:18). But now Jesus commanded his disciples something that went beyond that. That evening he told them that he would give his life for them. He said: "This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than that which one gives his soul for the benefit of his friends. This commandment was new in the sense that it required the interests of others to take precedence over one's own.

No! No! And again no! Are we in politics here? How do any interests come into play now? How can the Governing Body be so primitive and shrink the new commandment of Jesus to this lapidary dull-head sentence? "This commandment was new insofar as it required to put the interests of others above one's own." What are the interests of others? For the Jehovah's Witnesses, aren't they exclusively the interests of the governing body? For the Jehovah's Witnesses, are they not exclusively the teaching and ruling construct of the Watchtower Society? – Everything that lies in this new commandment of Jesus, everything that a real Christian lives, notices and learns when he accepts and tests this commandment, all this reduces the Mafia of religions to nothing: "This commandment was new in that it required to put the interests of others above one's own."

If the Watchtower Society were to deal with a cookbook, it would have no chance of survival. Then all its members would have starved to death after three weeks.

Selfless love – that is, not seeking one's own advantage – can be practiced in many areas.

Oh, then we finally have a new esoteric basis. About us nevertheless times completely practically the selfless love. If we renounce our advantage and put everything into the Watchtower society, then everything will be fine. Then we can also feel that we have done something "that pleases God. Certainly not a mistake... So the Watchtower Society gives us something concrete that can help us over the inner emptiness. Man needs something meaningful. Why not the imagination that one can love earthly selflessly! But Jesus says quite clearly: Without me you can do nothing. It follows that selfless love is nothing without Jesus. But Jesus does not mean selfless love. For He gave Himself for us. This love has the prerequisite that one brings along one's self and throws it into the balance. This love can only be learned by those who are in direct contact with Jesus. Because this love is not a technique that can be studied and put into practice, but it is a gift of God that Jesus gives us when we confess him, when we witness to him. But anyone who believes that Jesus is only an archangel has lost this point as well.

It already starts when you live in a tenement house and would like to turn up the music, but you know exactly that you are annoying your dear neighbor with it. Would you be willing to give up your enjoyment a bit in order to give the other a little peace and quiet? Or to put it another way: Is the well-being of your neighbour more important to you than your own?

How simple is the way to the Kingdom of the Governing Body? The paradise that lying society offers us is so easy to reach. Jesus is only an angel and we can earn our ticket to the Kingdom of Jehovah by distributing watchtowers. Fortunately, there are these simple-minded Americans who can control everything with their sales methods. But the fact that the way to the Father is exclusively Jesus himself does not fit into their strategy. That Jesus himself says: "Stay in me and I in you! that is not the thing of the Watchtower ideology. Jehovah's Witnesses should rather practice selfless love. All on the carnal level. Jesus' spiritual blessing in faith in him, which changes us from within, is completely unknown to the leading body.

Another situation: On a cold, snowy winter day in Canada, an elderly gentleman was visited by two Jehovah's Witnesses. During the conversation, he mentioned that he could not clear snow in front of the house because of his heart condition. About an hour later he heard loud scratching noises. The two visitors had come back to clear the way and the stairs. "Today I have experienced true Christian love" the Lord wrote to the Canadian branch of Jehovah's Witnesses. "That gave me a real boost and turned my otherwise rather pessimistic view of the world upside down. And now I have great respect for your worldwide commitment... Even a small handout can make a big difference. Doesn't it bring deep satisfaction to wring one's way through something one wasn't actually planning to do out of charity?

That's the Watchtower Society thing! The Jehovah's Witnesses receive praise for their "worldwide commitment" because two of them shovelled snow in Canada. Awesome. So it is nice to manoeuvre around Jesus. If two snow-scoopers in Canada are already producing worldwide fame for the witnesses, then nothing serious will stand in the way of the Kingdom of the Governing Body. Except perhaps the protection of child molesters in their own ranks. Or the refusal of the Lord's Supper with Jesus. Or the humiliation of Jesus as an angel. – Oh, these are only little things. – Snow shovelling counts!

Decisions made out of love for God Another factor to consider when making decisions is the commandment to love God – the most important commandment, as Jesus said. The Jews, to whom Jesus' words applied, already had a special relationship with God in their totality. However, it was up to the individual Israelite to decide whether he really loved God with all his soul and heart (Genesis 30:15, 16). The choices you make reflect how you feel about God.

Finally, finally, finally something flashes up again that Jesus can sign. The leading body of the Jesus slander society finally brings a little paragraph where the truth is really in it. But once again we experience how the Leadership Community of Purposes disfigures this fundamental truth into a joke by cutting down everything that makes up Jesus for its own purposes and turning it into a swelling sausage. The sausage of the Bible study is the beginning and end of the elitist and carnal Watchtower society. The fact that Jesus in faith makes every ignorant person a saved being would only disturb the plans of the American knowledge mixers. For then the artificial market of Jehovah's Witnesses would suddenly be exposed as a soap bubble.

If, for example, one becomes more and more aware of the practical value of the Bible, one is at some point faced with a decision: Is one prepared to engage in a systematic Bible study with the aim of becoming a follower of Jesus? This certainly makes you happy, because Jesus said: "Happy are those who are aware of their spiritual needs" (Matthew 5:3).

The goal of becoming a follower of Jesus can be realized in a second. The recipe of the Watchtower Bible study only spoils it. One is Jesus' successor the second one decides for him and gives his life to him. But the Watchtower Society cannot allow this simple realization. For then its 6 million followers would be gone in one fell swoop. Thus it develops on complicated thought paths, which often contradict each other extremely, a way, which drives humans into their manipulation. Jehovah's Witnesses depend on people who have never known Jesus and who call themselves the channel of God. They become dependent on an organization that arbitrarily and defiantly offers child molesters a shelter within its own ranks that neither abused children nor the families of the abused children can break through. The Watchtower Society insists on morality, but disregards Jesus severely. The Watchtower Society is the darkest area of sin. It denies the Holy Spirit as God. It protects its child molesters and claims to know the truth.

How one decides often affects others Whether the young leader regretted his decision, we do not know. But we do know how the apostle Peter felt after following Jesus Christ for years. Towards the end of his life, around the year 64 A.D., he challenged his brothers in faith: "Do your utmost to finally be invented by him [God] spotlessly and immaculately and in peace" (2 Peter 1:14; 3:14). Obviously, Peter did not regret the choice he had made over 30 years earlier, and he also encouraged others to stay on this path. Following Peter's advice would mean following Jesus with all that belongs and keeping God's commandments (Luke 9:23; 1 John 5:3). This might seem like a great mountain, but Jesus promised: "Come to me all you who labor and are laden, and I will give you refreshment. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild and humble of heart, and you will find refreshment for your souls. For my yoke is gentle, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).

What madness! Jesus, who shows and teaches the innermost truth to everyone who entrusts himself to him, is used here by the Watchtower Society as an aid to putting on shoes, so that in any case people will fall for it. Jesus, who promised us that he would save us by simply believing in him, must serve here as a relief factor for the ordeals of the Watchtower Society. The blasphemy is that Jesus is deprived of his ministry and made a shoehorn for the Watchtower Society.

Arthur can only confirm that. At the age of 10 he took violin lessons and had the prospect of a career as a musician. At the age of 14 he was already a concert violinist. But he was not really happy. His father constantly pondered the meaning of life and often invited religion teachers home. But her answers never satisfied him. In the family circle one discussed whether God really exists and why there are so many bad things. When Arthur's father then came into conversation with Jehovah's Witnesses, the spark was ignited. The whole family started a Bible study.

Jesus did not save Arthur, but the Watchtower Bible Study! And because he was distracted from Jesus by the Watchtower Society Leadership Body, he did not become a Witness of Jesus either, but only a Witness of Jehovah. With this he may have done something to permanently satisfy his life of failure, but he skilfully avoided the truth. He has humanely read the Bible and paid attention to the biblical mixers of the Watchtower Society. In this way, he has obscured the view of Jesus himself. He will probably never get to know Jesus, as can someone who does not allow himself to be fooled by people. The only thing that counts is the direct contact between you and Jesus. Arthur probably made this contact impossible forever in his life.

The more Arthur studied the Bible, the clearer it became to him why God permitted suffering and what the purpose of human existence was. Together with three other family members, Arthur made a choice he never regretted. He was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness. "I am so happy that with Jehovah's help I was able to learn the truth and heal myself from the competitive spirit so typical of professional musicians. They would do anything for their success."

Those who are baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses will probably never regret this step. For his brain is in the same direction under the rule of the Governing Body of the Watchtower Sect of Lies, which Jesus plays down and instrumentalizes his name for itself. These people are lost if they do not give themselves a jolt and say to themselves: No, I trust Jesus. He is the only mediator between God and man. I want to entrust myself to him.

Arthur still enjoys making music for his friends, but it is no longer the focus of his life. For him, everything now revolves around serving God. He works in a branch of Jehovah's Witnesses. Unlike the rich young leader, Arthur and millions of others have made the choice that promises the greatest happiness: they have accepted Jesus' invitation to become his successors – an invitation for everyone! A Bible study paves the way to become a follower of Jesus.

Do you know what Arthur really did? He has become a follower of the Watchtower Society and sees Jesus through the glasses of the Governing Body. He is forbidden to talk to Jesus, he is forbidden to worship Jesus. Jesus is only an angel to him. Arthur sacrificed his talent for an earthly organization and did not notice that he was lost. Arthur allowed himself to be seduced – to the noblest sin in the world. To the sin of classifying Jesus by human standards. – In any case, Arthur does not allow himself to be told anything more about Jesus. For him, the Watchtower Society administers the "happiness that he will never regret".

Epilogue:

This is the anniversary of my friend Mick's death. He was Canadian and loved a German Jehovah's Witness in Bad Nauheim. For her sake he seriously went on a search and wanted to become a Jehovah's Witness. But something in him blocked that. Mick was a person who had come to know life in all its facets. He had been a manager, but also knew life as a welfare recipient. On the way to the Jehovah proclaimed by the Watchtower Society, however, he stopped shortly before the "goal". He could not overcome being brainwashed.

Jehovah's Witnesses at Butzbach couldn't turn Mick around. After several years of Bible study, Mick and his beloved Jehovah's Witness secretly married. They had a three-and-a-half year long happy marriage. The two married although he was diagnosed with tongue cancer.

Mick died of his tongue cancer on September 09, 2006. He had kept it a secret from his beloved Jehovah's Witness the whole time that he was about to die. When he felt that he had almost no time left, he took her on a trip to Rodos. There everything went much too fast. When he was dying, Mick pressed his wife's hand and pointed up with the other hand's index finger. With circling movements.

I thank Jesus Christ that Mick did not fall for the death teaching of the Watchtower Society. Even though it didn't happen to confront him with Jesus himself (I was like out of it at the time as a Christian), I still believe that Mick has a chance to choose Jesus. I am hoping that Jesus saved us all and only has to put away those who stiffly and persistently deny him as God. Mick did not do this.

The grace that Jesus does to us goes far beyond the frippery of the Watchtower Society. It is not a better, more Americanized world that Jesus is planning for us, but a person whom he himself purifies and renews, and who he feeds and endows with his own strength. Jesus is God Himself who gave Himself for us so that we can call on Him by His first name. We all have open access to him without having to fulfil any watchtower conditions.

Read the Bible in childlike faith and Jesus will meet it.
