Watchtower Society - Clarification No. 31
After two rainy Saturdays, we finally returned to the pedestrian zone to present a plaque to Jehovah's Witnesses, this time again with the truthful inscription: Jehovah's Witnesses confirm Jesus' death sentence: "He makes Himself God." Three weeks ago in Bruchsal a nice discussion had already taken place and the Jehovah's Witnesses were really not happy at their bookstall, especially since they could not simply ignore the truth of this statement.
But today things were supposed to be different. No Jehovah's Witness was to be found in Speyer. The bookstall was missing.
The place where Jehovah's Witnesses were born was yawned only by the great emptiness. It made no difference to the people. But for me!
However, at the end of the pedestrian zone I met an old Jehovah's Witness sitting on his rollator holding the watchtower in front of his stomach. It took him about 4 minutes to see that the message "Jehovah's Witnesses confirm Jesus' death sentence: He makes himself God", which every passer-by read, tore down the Christian mask of his religion. And so he made off. Later his wife joined him and I could see that this old man only wanted to use the waiting time for the sermon service as long as his wife was running her errands in the department store. The man made me say goodbye to the windshield wiper movement and I considered whether I should go to Bruchsal. There the Jehovah's Witnesses had been more reliable so far.
In Bruchsal, the Jehovah's Witnesses bookstall was also missing, but I was amazed to see 7 or 8 Muslims in their best outfits distributing an elaborate advertisement with the inscription: "The way to peace". The oldest of them was probably Pakistani and I told him when he approached me that only Jesus could bring peace. He kept trying to text me, so I had to repeat the same sentence three times until he finally left me alone.
After ten minutes he approached me again because I still stood there and watched the scenery. "I invite you! ... Do you have time on the 26th of the evening?" He shrewdly closed his eyes on this question. I asked him if it was Islam and he said yes. And again he started to convince me with his program. I told him: "The Muslims teach exactly the same as the Jehovah's Witnesses. Exactly the same! Jesus is not God. Mohammed murdered and did not keep promises! After the Koran, Allah is the greatest blacksmith of lists. The only one who fits this in the Bible is Satan. Then he asked, "So aggressive," by which he meant me and not Mohammed. I replied, "I'm just naming facts."
Is it really time you didn't say these things to protect yourself? Do facts have to be concealed to save his skin? My hope is to be able to talk and write openly about these things without endangering life and limb. Fortunately, I have nothing to lose but my life, I have no one to consider. Let us hope that Islam does not return criticism with violence.
And dear Jehovah's Witnesses! Please realize that you are riding exactly on the wave of Islam. Don't be under any illusions that you could be Christians. You are not.
