Watchtower Society – Clarification No. 157

Wiesloch: Newspapers redeem Jehovah's Witnesses?

Cursed is the one who hopes for people.

Jehovah's Witnesses are hopeful that they will survive through the current advertising support of the 144,000 anointed special witnesses of Jehovah's Armageddon. The forgiveness of their sins is not included in this survival. Jehovah's Witnesses are said to pay for their sins with their own physical death. Consequently, Armageddon direct survivors remain sinful and are in paradise with their sins.

Jehovah's Witnesses are earning their salvation by promoting the Watchtower Society themselves, so it is impossible to say they were saved or will be saved. For salvation is real salvation only where someone else intervenes and saves. Whoever works himself to survive in the fictitious Armageddon has not been saved at all, for he made it himself. Whoever escapes a danger by his own power does not have to be saved by anyone. Only he who can no longer help himself is saved.

Jehovah's Witnesses draw on the legendary texts of the Watchtower Society. But even these texts cannot save anyone. Jehovah's Witnesses are convinced that advertising for the Watchtower Society saves, but they do it on their own. This is not an outside salvation, real salvation, because they help themselves. Like all religions that demand personal contribution to salvation, the Watchtower religion is a single great package of personal contribution. Through his efforts, man hopes to get away somehow. Nobody wants to know that rescue has nothing to do with this strategy.

What is salvation?

Rescue is everything but the result of our own actions. Imagine someone who is in a hopeless situation. No matter what this person does, he cannot help himself. Rescue always happens from the outside. As long as no one comes and saves him, the helpless person does not have the slightest chance. Salvation is when someone is saved by another.

Save yourself, who can!

In American movies you can often hear this exclamation: "Save yourself, who can!" This exclamation means all sorts of things, but not what is real salvation. Self-rescue is in itself a conceptual fraud, for he who can help himself does not need salvation. To be able to save oneself is the simplest and yet also the most complicated, certainly the most momentous lie of mankind. All Catholics, all Muslims, all Jehovah's Witnesses and all others believe in this deception, even those who have not come to know Jesus. What salvation means can only be measured by those who come to know Jesus.

In Jesus, man experiences how something happens that he has neither triggered himself, nor somehow worked off, nor brought to a good end. In Jesus man experiences how a change approaches him and shows him that he has been accepted by Jesus. This salvation in Jesus results only from a simple honest yes to Jesus. All good works and efforts follow from this honest yes to Jesus. These works are not based on human efforts, but are the result of someone else's intervention in our lives. This other is Jesus and with his power brings about our salvation as well as our recognition of his person and the recognition of our salvation and he brings about all the good that we do as saved.

The entire Budenzauber of the religions cannot save and not replace Jesus. The entire philosophy and religion of evolutionary theory fall into the category of global self-deception, even if it earns good money.

Jeremiah 17,5-6 Thus says the LORD, Cursed is the man who relies on men, and holds flesh for his arm, and departs with his heart from the LORD. He will be like a thorn bush in the wilderness, and he will not see the good that is coming, but he will remain in the drought of the wilderness, in the barren land, where no man dwells.

The dried out thorn bushes of the desert stand in our pedestrian zones and advertise a religion that makes people bleed to death. Jesus never let anyone bleed to death. Someone who follows Jesus is not a man of bleeding to death, not a man of religion. Not a man of the church, not a man of any organization. Those who follow Jesus have put their trust in Jesus. He who follows Jesus does not need crutches, no recognition, no organization, no religion, no ideology. Whoever relies on Jesus experiences the salvation that comes from outside. This salvation is the only one worthy of the name salvation. Everything else is only the famous pulling oneself out of the swamp by one's own beard, which has been handed down to us by the funny Muenchhausen as definitely possible.
